Lots of irons in the fire. We had our weekly team meeting yesterday, and the team is moving forward with several new ventures. The art team has a new project (you’ll know about it by the middle of next week!), and the programming team is full-steam ahead on getting our pre-alpha server available for the public.
The biggest thing for those of you following now is happening tomorrow on January 18th at 10:30 CST a.m./11:30 EST a.m. What is it? Our second Q&A session, which will be happening live via Google+ Hangouts. You can follow along the event here. But that’s just scratching the surface.
I’m going to try my hardest to start writing weekly blog posts for everyone. At the very least I’ll be doing sitreps every Saturday following our team meetings which take on Friday mornings. This gives you, the community, a chance to peek behind the curtain and see what we are working on week to week.
In February, there will be a new chapter coming out, as well as a new Wandering Hermit tale. . The art team is also delving head-first into creating our first official trailer. Music is coming along; I’ve loved the teasers I’ve heard from David so far, and I can’t wait to share more of those with you.
Speaking of which, if you didn’t catch the social media blast earlier this week, here’s the demo that David sent in ahead of his interview, which convinced us at the first listen. There are several themes within, and we’ve since broken things down and are working on individual components.
Also don’t forget to head on over to our forums. We’ve had a boatload of new signups in the past week (over 100 as of this writing; between 15 and 20 people are joining every day), and conversations are starting to flow. You’ll want to get to know your fellow gamers and make friends and connections, because that’s the first starting point for finding groups in the game!
The most exciting thing I want to tell you guys about…I can’t tell you guys about 🙂 I’m sworn to secrecy by my lead programmer, Alex. Suffice to say, you’ll want to stay tuned. There are some AMAZING updates just around the corner. Things that the team members have been waiting a year to see implemented. As much as YOU want to sink your teeth into this game, WE want to get in even more than you…so we can keep on building and fleshing things out.
Our first crowdfunding effort goes live mid-week next week, so stay tuned for that. It’s a fun little project that will give all of our supporters a physical reward as well as a some pre-alpha access for themselves and their friends, so stay tuned!
