Hey everyone! We’ve been talking about the account management system changes for a few months now, and we wanted to let you know that as of last night at 11 p.m EST, all of the changes are now in effect! Your forum account is now used for forum access, website access, and also ties into the login for the game, so you no longer need separate accounts for things. There’s also a few more changes that are in place now, so read on for the full details!
First and foremost, we’ve simplified the entire process now and tied everything back to your forum account, so you’ll be able to do everything with that single email + account name. Note that you should still see an account key over at your account page once you’ve successfully made an order, but we’ve gotten rid of the separate WordPress accounts and game login accounts and tied everything together now.
Next up is the fact that we no longer have blog comments. When we make a new blog post here at the blog, it’s going to automatically post over in the News section of the website, and if you click on the discussion/comment bar on the bottom of this blog post, rather than allow you to make a comment within WordPress, it’s going to put you over in the forums where you can continue the discussion there.
This should lead to more active forums as we won’t have two separate places where discussions are taking place. Instead, everything will be happening over at the forums.
You should also notice that the forums have been cleaned up a bit and restructured.
There’s a few of you out there who haven’t replied back yet when we queried you to get a forum account registered, despite having purchased the game. If you’re one of those folks who pre-ordered the game but haven’t created a forum account yet, you need to get registered today or you won’t be able to log into any of the future builds during our Early Access program. Make sure you get registered over at the forums today!
Our April 30th build is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see you guys and girls in-game and show you what we’ve been working on since the last build in November of 2015!
And just to let you know, the next items on our agenda are moving the website database over and then we’ll begin work on coding the Bring A Friend referral program, and the monthly membership options, both of which will allow you to increase your pre-order tiers over time, thus unlocking more of the exclusive rewards that come with being an early supporter of the Saga of Lucimia MMORPG!
And finally, don’t forget that our June 3rd – 5th get-together in Austin, Texas is just a few weeks away, so if you plan on coming, you’ll want to get us your info by this Thursday so that we can start making hotel reservations!
